A fully inkjet-printed disposable gas sensor matrix with molecularly imprinted gas-selective materials

Abstract A method was used to fabricate a fully inkjet-printed gas sensor matrix on photographic paper. An electrode comprising 36 interdigital electrodes in high-density layout that is easy integrate has been fabricated using combination of insulating ink and commercial silver ink. Molecular-imprinted polymer (MIP) inks were then made simple solution mixing method, these printed together with carbon black the complete production sensor. Finally, experimental dynamic sensing volatile organic compounds verifies for detection gases corresponding MIP template molecules, layer offers improvements both sensitivity selectivity when compared non-imprinted layers. The can produce response more than 20% 3 ppm propenoic acid through adjustment printing times layer.
